7th Non – Aligned Summit Commemorated on Stamps

The 7th Non – Aligned Summit / Conference was commemorated by India Post with the release of this set of two stamps in the year of 1983.Non-Alignment Movement was founded against the Imperialism and gradually became one the strongest forums of the Third – World countries.
Held during 7 – 12 March 1983, the 7th Non – Aligned summit was hosted by India at New Delhi. To commemorate the occasion the India Post issued two stamps on 7th March 1983.
The stamp with the denomination of Rs.1 features a flower-like decoration of five petals with No. 7 at the place of the stem with a bird above it.
The other stamp that comes with the denomination of Rs.2 shows the portrait of 1st Prime Minister of Indian – Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru.
